for our fellow mates and colleagues, and provide them with an international platform.
Women Empowerment
The founder, Tanya Chamoli believes in Feminism and continues to empower women with her constant influence, words and support to all the women of the society.
Many of the barriers to women's empowerment and equity lie ingrained in cultural norms. Many women feel these pressures, while others have become accustomed to being treated inferior to men. As a woman living in a male dominated - 'patriarchal' society, she says that she has always been taught to always think of the society first. Born in a traditional country like India and being a western and bold dancer, she has been judged all her life, and thus with her modern approach, she wants to bring a change to the mentality of the people. She quotes that her life choices do not give permission to the society to judge her character. She believes an EMPOWERED woman is someone who knows her strengths and isn't afraid to embrace them. To be empowered means to be in control of one's life, aware of their capabilities, and ready to take on even their biggest dreams. She says women's empowerment and achieving gender equality is essential for our society to ensure the sustainable development of the country and the world.
Self Esteem
We want to help everyone build their SELF ESTEEM and empower themselves. Tanya says, "When you’re feeling discouraged, remind yourself of your values and why you believe in them. They might just be the inspiration n motivation you need to boost your self-confidence. Make a List of Your Victories, big or small! Being mindful of what you've accomplished so far will combat self-doubt and help you build self - compassion to get through hard times. Celebrate Your Success! No, sharing your accomplishments isn’t necessarily bragging. Give yourself a Pep Talk. Don't underestimate the power of standing in front of a mirror and saying positive affirmations out loud. Remind yourself of your positive qualities, values, and your goals. Fun dance moves are optional, of course. Sometimes you’re simply being too hard on yourself. Remind yourselves that others aren’t judging you as harshly as you think they might be, and this will help you feel less anxious and more confident about yourself. It’s tough to keep your confidence high when life has a habit of throwing you curveballs. So the next time you’re not feeling good, spend time with yourself. A healthy boost in your self-esteem might just be a handwritten list or a pep talk in the mirror away!"
